Recommendations optimise for the mainstream, not for a label with 400 followers
- One feed, five sourcesfollow an artist or label once and it is tracked automatically across Bandcamp, YouTube, SoundCloud, Mixcloud and Resident Advisor, deduplicated into a single chronological feed.
- Follow anything by pasting a linka resolver works out which platform a URL belongs to and fills in the profile. Follows are graded must-watch, following or casual, which drives how prominently they surface.
- Events, tickets and a calendargigs are pulled per city and cross-referenced against your follows, then checked for ticket availability, so a sold-out show reads as sold out rather than as a dead link.
- Discovery with a memorysuggestions grounded in what you already follow, with thumbs up and down. Likes steer later prompts and dislikes are filtered out permanently, so it improves the more you reject.
- A digest that actually arrivesevery source is polled at 06:00 and the digest goes out at 07:00 to Telegram and email, both rendered from one dataset so the two cannot drift.
02 — Why it exists
Following underground techno properly is a chore. Releases land on Bandcamp, sets appear on SoundCloud, Mixcloud and YouTube, gigs are announced on Resident Advisor, and none of it talks to anything else. Miss the day a Bandcamp release drops and it is gone from your feed; miss an RA announcement and the show sells out.
Streaming recommendations optimise for the mainstream, not for a label with 400 followers. Following the music properly meant checking five places by hand, and forgetting to check was the same as missing it.
The fix is to follow the artists and labels you care about once and let the app do the checking. It polls every source on a schedule, keeps a single feed of what is new, and pushes a morning digest — so it is something you read rather than something you have to remember to open.
